The Burning Journal
‘Burning’ is a biannual digital publication that tackles contemporary social constructs. Every issue uncovers the side effects of current unsustainable behavioural trends. My final MA project is the first issue: on hyperproductivity. It dives into how the pressure to be hyper-productive has caused human beings to alter their behaviour in an unhealthy way.
The publication has been created as a tool that can inspire and lead readers to new ways of thinking. Opposed to creating a publication that dictates what one should believe, it allows the users to experience introspective moments to reflect on their behaviour and their environments. It possesses a rhythmic combination of diverse contents that include: articles, self-reflection prompts, data visualisations, and concept imagery.
